Working with the Dorcas Life - Group

We have been really pleased with the interest and support we have received for our project - recycling unwanted clothing and fabric into beautiful craft, gift and home ware items. We work in and with the community to offer opportunites to learn and share skills.

We have an enormous amount of materials to recycle and are currently working with the Dorcas Life - Group. The ladies are helping us to produce Shopper Bags that are utilising pre loved bedding and vintage fabrics.

This activity supports the group and helps us build our stock, as all items we sell support the costs of running our project.

If you are wondering who the Dorcas Life - Group are here is an overview from Paulette Thoms the group leader:

Our Dorcas Life - Group started Jan 2011. Since that time till now, we regularly meet on the first 3 Tuesday's of each month.

These sessions run from 5.45pm until 7.45pm.
At Heart Church in Nottingham, on Talbot Street.

We are a friendly group of people and we are very passionate about what we do.

Our aim is to equip each other with handicraft skills. These range from
Beginner crochet,
Sewing skills,
Jewellery making,
Baking etc

In return we use our skills to serve our city in different charitable events held throughout the year.

We are currently working on our Heart Project, which will then be used as small give away gifts, for Heart week at Heart Church. This is from 21st through to the 27th of August 2017.

You are more than welcome to join us at the time stated above.
